Okay – fair enough.  But while I buy a 10-pack of razors at the 99 cent store, he’ll spend $20 on one.

I’m not sure if these razors are as great as they say, I (well…the husband) will have to try them to tell you.

It’s really very good.  Cause it tells its story, it’s funny and the guy (founder Mike) is super nice to look at too.

I heard it works.  For some?  I’ve seen the endless supply of possible dates in their “in box.”  Some are nice guys with business photos, others are scruffy with any-thing-you-can-imagine photos to even more others with private photos professing their…well…thing.   Cause when choosing what guy to date, the ‘thing’ is most important?

I personally want to email these men (or boys if you will) and share that if a girl wants to see his ‘thing,’ he must first convince her that he is worthy of her eyes beholding.  Cause if a girl wants just a ‘thing’ (very rare) she can walk into any bar and get it….many times over.  (yeah, it is nice to be a girl.)

Which really makes finding a decent guy tough.  So, if you are looking, here are 10 suggestions to help you find one.

1) Be positive.  He’s out there.  You just haven’t met him….or realized it’s him yet (or you wouldn’t be reading this)

2) Be open.  Not the legs.  The mind.  If you meet someone, think he’s cute, but don’t think he’s your type….date him anyway.  Not to waste time but to fill time.   Every guy has friends.

3) Flirt.  Talk to everyone, everywhere.  That guy taking your ticket at the theater…talk to him.  That guy next to you at Costco….talk to him.  Date them all.  You never know if someone knows someone who knows someone….the more guys you meet the more friends they introduce you to and you never know who you’ll meet.

4) Smile.  A woman (even one that’s not that attractive) when she smiles is beautiful….every guy out there wants a girl who is confident and happy.  Be that girl and men will come.  Just think if Victoria Beckham smiled?  I’m not gay but even I can’t control myself for a smile.

5) Be yourself.  That sounds so weird.  But it’s true.  Whoever you are with friends..be that person everywhere.

6)  No sex.  Don’t sleep with anyone.  Men love a good chase.  If they catch, without having to tell you they love you or won’t date anyone else, they’ll be back on the prowl again soon.

7) Keep freaky-needy-psycho girl gone.  If he doesn’t call or call….don’t read into it.  There are plenty more out there.  If he can’t see you are the best thing out there…you don’t want him.

8) Stay busy.  Take a new class (not sewing) go somewhere that guys will be.  Try an exercise class, a new sports class you’ve never done (like boxing or golf -okay even I laughed out loud),  a computer class (I met a ton of great guys at my last computer class!)

9) Stop watching TV.  Go out.  Anywhere.  Even to the mall to walk around.

10) Excersise.  Go to the gym, walk on a path, ride a bike at least 5 days a week for a hour even if it’s up and down the street.  If your body is active your mind is active and you stay healthy and happy.  And who knows who you’ll meet at the gym.

Bottom line:  Just be open to the possiblity that you’ll meet someone who’s not perfect but perfect for you.  It’s going to take some time and you have to be willing to date and date (call it good practice) so that when you find him, you’ll be ready.

What I always do….and you should follow my advice  because…well…read that little title up there at the top of this page…:

1) Do not go to your account through the links on the emails…oooo that could be bad…

2) Open a new window (all by yourself) and get to your account on your own.

3) Go to your orders:  do you see it?

4) Copy the # of the order from the email and put it in their search button.  Nothing????  Good.

5)  Note someone is trying to trick you and quickly hope they die a slow and painful death.

6) Tell everyone you know about it….specially older people that think everything on the internet is out to take their money but get sucked into these traps so easy.  Save one of them and you’ll be a saint in my book.

How easy would my life be if I had two extra wives around  here?!?! 

Having a couple nights off in the bedroom wouldn’t be so bad either.  

Then, as we all got old.…there’d be two more people around to help take care of him.  

Then he’d die early (first) (as men do) and we’d have the three of us to travel and have home gatherings with all our kids and grandkids.

Ahh…..

As I said…it’s a fantasy.  Cause in reality?  I like sex.  And I don’t want to share my man.

This is not the place to bring little ones.  They’ll be bored (what movie have they seen anyway?) and you’ll be cranky. So really, why even bother? Wait till they are older!  Speically since Universal Studios Hollywood keeps running this great promo: Buy a day, get a year!  Then, even if you go twice, you’re felling happy you saved some cash!

City Walk
Don’t miss going here after Universal Studios.  Movies, Comedy, SkyFlying (in a tube!)  and shops (not boring ones) fun ones you’ve never seen before!

1) Tell your self the minute (no, second!) you wake up that it’s going to be a great day.   If you don’t believe it….it won’t happen.

2) Ignore grouchy kids….and remind them they have a choice: to be happy or to be grumpy…and if they choose grumpy you won’t join them.

3) Make sure you have at least 1 or 2 future trips planned where you’ll be in a hotel/resort with few personal belongings and a couple people you love…or really enjoy laughing and having fun with.

4) Do your job well and do it smart.  If you feel busy or swamped at work….slow down, figure out what’s important and do that quick and well.

5) Remove “Facebook” and other “message boards” from your phone….if you spend more than 5 minutes scrolling down, lookin and reading what has come through on your phone, you are clogging your mind and time with  distractions.   Look at them when you are at your home computer for fun and entertainment when you are relaxed and can look at all the notes from HS friends or laugh at their photos and videos.

6) Plan to have coffee, drinks, happy hour, dinner, night out with friends at least once a week!  If you don’t plan….it won’t happen.

7) Find a “Happy place”  A spot on your phone to write down (type) great memories from events….so when you are sad or thinking you don’t have any fun, you can look at these old notes and remember to remind yourself…..yeah….I’m in control here…it’s my life and I need to life cause soon…it will be over!

8) Feel other people.  Not groping.  Not even touching….but mentally.  Look at others in eye, and in their soul.  It’s not hard.  Takes a mere second.  All you need to do is slow down and hear the other person.  You’ll be shocked.  A warm feeling will come over you (it’s not urine) and for even a second, you’ll feel connected to humanity…and happiness will overtake you.

9) Plan your day.  Work, exercise, fun.  Balance all three into a day.  Write it out.  Do it all.  Don’t miss anything or you’ll start feeling bad.  If something makes you have to cancel ask yourself why….was it because I’m feeling lazy?  Tired?  Did someone die?  (yeah…that happens….and you cancel everything….)

10) Take 3 minutes to Rule the Negative:  Listen to Jon Bon Jovi’s song:  “Have a Nice Day” and think of all the people you’d like to tell F-OFF to and when it’s over, laugh and remind yourself of the good in your life and how lucky you are.

Just yesterday I was driving with my 6 year old and his little female friend when he asked her, “Who’s your birthmom?”

Later. after a long explaination and muffled giggles, some other moms told me that their kids have been asking, “Who is my Step Dad?”

It’s insane to think how far this world has come since Mom and Dad had to lie about sex before marriage.  (Course everyone still does now…..)

But that’s why I love Modern Family.  They hit on all these weird things that only happen inside a family that has some…well…modern chaos to it.

Like mine.  Would you believe me if I told you my Mom’s best friend’s son is married to my sister who’s not related to my mom?  And my sister’s father-in-law is my Uncle.

And we’re not from ‘Georgia’ either.  Hence the reason my kids are cofused…?

But all that mess doesn’t matter as long as everyone loves each other…in a normal way.
